Reid wants Republic recall

Andy Reid has no plans to retire from international football despite being overlooked by Giovanni Trapattoni for Republic of Ireland's victory over Georgia. The Sunderland midfielder was not even named in the squad and reports have suggested he does not have a good relationship with the manager.Trapattoni has stressed that his decision was not 'a personal issue' and Reid maintains that he is still available for selection.Republic have made a strong start to their World Cup qualification campaign and Reid hopes to help his country make it through to the tournament in South Africa."I watched the match on Wednesday and it was hard," the 26-year-old told the Irish Independent. "I would love to be involved. I'm always available to play for Ireland, any time they want me to play they know where I am. "I would love to be involved. I'm always available. "If they pick me, I will always do everything I can for the green shirt, because I always give my all for Ireland whenever I pull it on."I have always been so proud to do that and nothing has changed. All I can do is keep going."
