Bruce admits mistakes

Wigan boss Steve Bruce has admitted his gamble in playing Michael Brown and Mido against Fulham failed. The Latics chief knew both players were not really fit to play, but the former Birmingham boss fielded the pair anyway. The move backfired in the first half against Fulham as both players had to be withdrawn."We've made too many changes," admitted Bruce. "Brown's sick before the game and Mido's only half fit. I shouldn't have played them. Not worked"You always have to learn from it. I have learned from it. You can't play people who aren't 100 per cent fit. I've taken a gamble today and it's not worked."I thought they were the team that took the ball and looked a threat."We'll take a point and move on. It's arguably the worst we've played since I've been in charge."We played poorly today, but that's eight unbeaten at home. Maybe (the fans) have been spoilt a little bit."
