Russian trial for Appiah
Stephen Appiah has linked up with Russian side Rubin Kazan on trial. The Ghana skipper, who has been training at Tottenham, is looking for a new club after leaving Fenerbahce in acrimonious circumstances last year.Appiah left the Turkish club after a row over his fitness following a serious knee injury.The 28-year-old was hoping to win a move to Tottenham after pitching up at White Hart Lane last month, but it appears Harry Redknapp has decided not to pursue his interest in the midfielder.Appiah admits he would be interested in a move to Russia as he looks to get his career back on track."I am feeling better at the moment, I need to practice more," Appiah told skysports.com."Hopefully I will get a move as soon as possible, but to play in Russia will be good.
