Lennon out of U21 clash

Aaron Lennon will miss England Under-21s' friendly with Ecuador due to a groin strain picked up in the North London derby. The Tottenham winger was brought off with just three minutes to go in Sunday's match against Arsenal.Spurs manager Harry Redknapp revealed that he tried to keep Lennon on the pitch but the 21-year-old was struggling to play with the injury and requested a substitution."Aaron came off with a groin strain. He was struggling with quarter of an hour, 20 minutes to go, wanted to come off but I tried to keep him going as long as we could," Redknapp told the club's official website."He was struggling with it though and he won't be fit to play for the Under-21s."Tottenham midfielder Jamie O'Hara has also withdrawn from the Under-21 squad due to a hip injury.
