Rafa doubts Torres fitness

Rafa Benitez does not believe Fernando Torres is yet fully fit even though the Liverpool striker has been called up to the Spain squad. Torres has been plagued by hamstring injuries all season and has only recently returned from his latest spell on the sidelines. He came off the bench to score two late goals against Chelsea at the start of the month and also netted a last-gasp winner at Portsmouth on Saturday.Vicente del Bosque has now selected Torres ahead of Spain's friendly against England in midweek.Benitez has refused to criticise Del Bosque but has made it clear that he would have preferred it had Torres not been included."Torres has been selected, so I had better not say a lot more," the Liverpool boss is quoted as saying in Marca."Obviously he is not ready, that can be seen when he plays.Interesting"Although he nearly scored a hat-trick against Chelsea, I said then that he is not fully fit. "Every day I see him and sometimes he appears to be at his best and at other times not."Torres is one of five Liverpool players to be named in Del Bosque's squad, along with Jose Reina, Alvaro Arbeloa, Albert Riera and Xabi Alonso.Benitez is keen to see how his men perform, adding: "It will be interesting because Spain has more players from the Premier League than from the Spanish league."We have five players in the squad and we have spoken to Del Bosque and the physical coach there and let them know what we would like. But we know that they will play."
