Brown - No risks with Bullard

Phil Brown says it would have been 'too risky' to play Jimmy Bullard in Hull City's 0-0 draw at Chelsea. Bullard is currently awaiting the verdict of Dr Richard Steadman following scans on a knee injury suffered on his Tigers debut against West Ham United. The midfielder jarred his knee on his first appearance since his £5million move last month, although the problem is not connected to the injury which sidelined him for 15 months at previous club Fulham. He was under consideration to be involved in Saturday's game at Stamford Bridge, but Brown opted against gambling on the player's fitness. However, Bullard has travelled with the rest of the squad to Dubai for a training camp and could be available for the FA Cup fifth-round tie against Sheffield United."Jimmy was a 50/50 chance, but it was too risky," said Brown in the Hull Daily Mail. "Jimmy would have enjoyed that game of football, but he's okay."
