Hodgson - We deserved it

Cottagers boss felt his side shaded JJB affair Fulham boss Roy Hodgson felt his side should have claimed all three points from their trip to Wigan on Saturday. The Cottagers played well at the JJB Stadium but were unable to break down the Latics' stubborn defence meaning the game ended goalless.Hodgson was pleased with his side's performance and felt one goal would have been enough to claim their first away win of the season.Better chances"I thought we had the better chances and had the better of the play," he said."I would have accepted a point before the game, I can't say that after the game. I thought we did enough to win it."I thought our first-half performance, where we got into good positions, that it was just a matter of time it looked before we scored. Their chances to score were few and far between."In the second half for large periods we dominated possession but there was always a last-ditch tackle in the final instance to keep us out."We were a hair's breadth from scoring in this game. The boys did well today. We defended well. I think that I can be reasonably correct in saying that if any team had won it should have been us."
