Moyes bids to revive Jo

Everton boss David Moyes believes his players will help new signing Jo rediscover his best form and goal-scoring touch at Goodison Park. The Brazil international managed just three goals for Manchester City following an £18 million move from CSKA Moscow last summer. But Moyes hopes a loan move to Everton will be of mutual benefit, given the Toffees' absence of strikers through injury. With Ayegbeni Yakubu, Louis Saha, James Vaughan and Victor Anichebe still sidelined for Saturday's visit of Bolton, Jo looks likely to figure at some stage.ContentionMoyes said: "He comes into contention because of our situation with numbers. We are a little bit short."I've looked and I think he is lacking a bit of confidence. He's not as match fit as we'd like but I expected that."If I had my way I'd rather keep him and build him up for a few weeks but I'll need to see what I've got for the game before I decide that."I can see the reasons why maybe at the moment he is having a bit of a struggle and I've got to look at how we can help him."Hopefully the players here will help him. They are a good group and they will try to help him regain his form and in turn help us by scoring some goals."ReadyJo, 21, insists that he is ready to answer the call whenever Moyes needs him to help Everton cement their place in the top six."I am well prepared physically and mentally. I have been training hard and I'm raring to go," Jo told Everton TV."I know it is only a loan but I will do my best to score goals and help Everton finish in the best position possible."If it is in the best interests of both parties, myself and Everton, I would be more than happy to remain at the club."Meanwhile, Moyes told Sky Sports News that Anichebe is out of consideration for the visit of Bolton because of injury. He refused to answer questions regarding reports of a training ground bust-up earlier this week.
