Big Sam backing Robinson

lackburn Rovers boss Sam Allardyce believes Paul Robinson possesses more than enough quality to force his way back into the England step-up. The former Tottenham and Leeds keeper has won 41 caps for his county, but has not been a regular since his howler in England's 2-0 away defeat to Croatia in 2006.Robinson is only 29 and Allardyce sees now reason why the experienced shot-stopper cannot regain England's No.1 jersey under Fabio Capello. However, with Blackburn currently entrenched in a battle to preserve their Premier League status, Allardyce wants Robinson to focus on Rovers first and foremost.Very good keeper"You don't play 41 times for England and command a place at a club challenging the top four without being a very good goalkeeper," said Allardyce."I don't think he got much help when things started to go wayward for him. From my point of view, it's about eradicating those memories and making sure he comes out a better keeper."He should be thinking about getting his England place back as quickly as he can - although his focus needs to be on Blackburn."
