Stephen Warnock expects El-Hadji Diouf to play a crucial role in Blackburn's battle against relegation. The Senegalese forward moved to Ewood Park from Sunderland towards the end of the January transfer window and he made a bright start to his Rovers career when he came on for the second half of Saturday's defeat to Aston Villa.Diouf has a bad reputation with supporters around the country and Warnock believes he will be determined to succeed with Blackburn. The full-back, who played with Diouf at Liverpool, is confident his former team-mate will make a big impact."People always boo players that are good. You will always find that," Warnock told the Lancashire Evening Telegraph. "They can say what they want but people will boo him because he is a good player and they are scared of him."That can only be a bonus for us and our fight to stay up. Players and fans from other teams are scared of him because they know exactly what he can do."He is a fantastic player. I think he will be a very important player for us."
