Ferguson expects tight race

Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson recognises that this season's Premier League title race could go right to the wire. Defending champions United have returned to the summit on the back of a run of seven straight victories since returning from the Fifa Club World Cup.But Ferguson is taking nothing for granted and acknowledges that this campaign's race for glory could be one of the closest yet."You have to put your mind to the possibility that the title could go down to the last few games," said the Scot."I expect the worst and hope for the best."Ferguson, though, insists he would happily head to Hull City on the final day under the same circumstances as he travelled to Wigan last season, knowing a win would seal the trophy."That would be fine," he added."It would be a position I would take at the start of the season and it could very well be that way this year."
