Leading 3-1 from the first leg, Juventus were expected to ease comfortably through to the quarter-finals but they were defeated 4-1 in an astonishing night at Craven Cottage which saw Fabio Cannavaro sent off in the 27th minute. Coach Ciro Ferrara was sacked in January but his replacement Alberto Zaccheroni has changed little and Juventus are fifth in the Serie A table and, following last night's humiliation, out of all cup competitions.
