When you send out a very public challenge, you really need to be able to back it up.
So when Luke Shaw sent the following tweet to his England team-mates in the Arsenal squad ahead of Manchester United’s FA Cup date with the Gunners yesterday, he was really setting himself up for a fall.
Prepared for tomorrows game!! @CalumChambers95 @JackWilshere @Alex_OxChambo see you tomorrow lads! Game on! 😬 #sorrynotsorry

Somewhat inevitably after that, United lost.
And the Ox wasn’t going to let the moment pass without making the most of it.

And the Arsenal fans absolutely lapped it up.

@Alex_OxChambo @LukeShaw3 My word. Suspect he won't read this – his head must still be spinning from the way you left him on his arse.

@Alex_OxChambo @LukeShaw3 Well played Ox. You roasted him.

We’re sure Shaw will forgive him. Think of the happy times you had together, Luke.
