Defender Anthony collided with Tranmere striker Bas Savage just before the interval and the initial fears were that the 25-year-old had fractured his fibula. But hospital X-rays showed the Welshman had only suffered severe bruising, meaning he could feature in the Pirates trip to Exeter on Wednesday. The news was welcomed by boss Paul Trollope, who told the club's official website: "It's very good news - he had a precautionary x-ray which showed nothing. It progressed well on Sunday which is very pleasing."He elevated it and did all the right things and he can put weight through it so he's got a chance for Wednesday. It's still an outside one but it's better than we originally thought."He's done well and has been part of a good defensive unit of late. Even though he gifted Tranmere their best chance of the game he still contributed to a defensive performance, so we're pleased with his form."
