Jarvis: Three more wins to survive

The Molineux outfit were handed a boost in their quest to avoid relegation at the weekend as they managed a 2-1 away win over drop rivals Burnley. Two fortunate goals aided their cause at Turf Moor and Wolves are now three points above the Clarets, who occupy the final place in the dropzone, with a game in hand.Jarvis, who opened the scoring on 26 minutes, thinks survival is within touching distance after the win."If we can win another two or three we will be nearly there," he said in The Sun."This has given us more belief that we can do that. It has given us a huge boost going into the last nine games. There's a few teams still in it after this result. "Three points is massive at this stage of the season but to do it against one of your rivals down there makes it even bigger. "We have been playing very well but little things have been going against us and it has cost us. "We felt for a while we were due that little bit of luck and that's what we got with both goals." Hull managed to avoid relegation last season with a points tally of 35, and with Wolves currently on 27, three victories would see them surpass that number.Jarvis, 23, took full advantage of a poor Tyrone Mears header to nick the ball past Brian Jensen in the Burnley goal and give Wolves the lead on Saturday. He added: "A few people asked me whether I thought about getting down on my hands and knees and heading it in and I suppose the thought did flash through my mind. "Their keeper had just been booked so he had to be careful as I went round him - it was a bit surreal as there was silence as I put the ball in." Barclays Premier League Relegation 2009/2010.
