Liverpool set to hit the Pjanic button?

News this morning suggests that Brendan Rodgers has revived his interest for Serie A star Miralem Pjanic. The Roma midfielder is one of three players reported to be of interest to the Anfield outfit in the summer with the £25m-rated player top of the list.The 24-year-old has been described by a Sky Sports scout as an “old-fashioned playmaker with huge technical qualities” and the Bosnian certainly has plenty to offer. Known for his precise passing, creativity and positioning as well as his free-kick ability, the player is seen to be an ideal replacement for outgoing Steven Gerrard.Pjanic, who joined Roma from Lyon in 2011 will not be released easily by Roma whith the latest reports in the Mirror suggesting the Serie A outfit are placing a massive £37million on his back, a figure that would make him Liverpool’s record signing. Along with the eye-watering transfer fee the Reds will also need to pay the player £160,000-a-week.Bendan Rodgers went to see the player last week in Rome and it was then say reports that the manager learned what it would take to make him a Liverpool player in the summer.
