Is Ings to Liverpool the right move?

The latest rumour to hit the never-ending January transfer rumour mill is that Liverpool want to sign Burnley's Danny Ings before the window slams shut on Monday. The question I want to ask is would Danny Ings really solve their problems and is the move really the right one for Ings? There is no doubt Danny Ings does have talent and the 22 year old has shown this with his current form where this season he has scored 7 goals in 19 appearances for a struggling club in the Premier League and last season he finished with 21 goals in Burnley’s promotion campaign. But in my opinion Liverpool are still looking for that world class striker and Ings is not that yet and we do not yet know if he will be as of yet. He has only had 2 seasons of top goal scoring form before this his record was not the best. I’m not saying Danny Ings is a ‘one season wonder’ but I’m of yet unsure of how good he will be in the future. I think Liverpool need a player who is proven and has been there and done it sort of player. Ings has not been capped by England and has only played half a season of Premier League football so surely you cannot say he is the man to solve Liverpool’s problems in front of goal yet. Liverpool have already got a young and up and coming striker in Divock Origi who will come to Anfield in the summer so do they really need another one? From Danny Ings prospective the move to Anfield may be irresistible as it would be for many players but would it really be the right move to make now? He is a young man who wants to play regular football and would he get that at Anfield or would he end up being a bench warmer who only plays in the Cup? So would the English U21 international be better to go to a side where he is guaranteed first team football straight away who may not be as high in the league or as bigger club as Liverpool? Surely that would benefit his career more. He will be a free agent at the end of the season but will still command a fee of around as he is under the age of 24. The idea is for Liverpool to sign him this window and then let him remain at Burnley for the remainder of the season. So should Ings wait until his contracts runs out and then consider his options then and should Liverpool wait until the summer to try and get there man cheaper and see how the second half of his first Premier League season goes?
