Nicholson: Time for PNE to kick on

North End reached the Championship play-offs last season but they have struggled for consistency for much of the current campaign.Alan Irvine was axed midway through the season and replaced by Darren Ferguson but last weekend's 3-0 win over Cardiff has left Nicholson eyeing a top-six finish.The Scot, a long-term injury absentee, said: "We talk about kicking on but to get into the play-offs we need to kick on now."As soon as we get the four wins we need to be safe that's always the aim but with the squad we have got we should definitely be looking higher."
