He has been a rock at the heart of the Latics defence so far this season and Titus Bramble is ready to face Liverpool at the DW Stadium on Monday after recovering from a hamstring injury. The powerful centre back was substituted in the game against Tottenham after pulling a hamstring and is now ready to face Steven Gerrard and co at the DW Stadium. Bramble told the Wigan Evening Post: "The Liverpool game is a massive game for us, and we have to pick ourselves up and make sure we're ready for it. We have some fantastic players in the squad and it's just a case of working hard and putting some results together." Bramble is also hoping that the newly relaid turf will help the team to play the flowing football that Martinez is demanding. He added: "The old pitch was doing no one any good. It might have looked bad from the sidelines, but I promise you it was much worse to play on – absolutely terrible. "You know the ball is going to bounce up but you don't know how or when, so you can't really do anything about it. The new pitch should help, and will hopefully suit our passing game."
