Howe: Cherries will keep battling

The cash-strapped Cherries picked only four subs, including schoolboy Jayden Stockley, and they paid the price for missed first-half chances when Terry Dunfield fired home from 15 yards four minutes into the second half to celebrate his recall to the side in fine style.Howe said: "We had 11 outfield professionals left (against Shrewsbury). We had a bench of a youth player, the assistant manager, one full-time pro and then Jayden who turned up at 3.30."We tried to get an emergency loan player in on Saturday morning but the Football League wanted a doctor's note which was impossible in the time especially when you're away from home."You don't leave your captain out when he's played in every game unless he's injured. You do get frustrated time and again and it's ridiculous."So with players playing out of position I couldn't have asked for more. Time and again these players have battled against the odds and continue to do so. In the first half I thought we did well and could have scored two or three."
