Portsmouth administrator insists he can challenge nine-point deduction

Portsmouth are to explore their right to challenge the nine point deduction imposed upon them by the Premier League. The south coast side entered administration on Friday with debts of around £78million and triggered the nine point penalty. But the club's administrator Andrew Andronikou says he may appeal. He said: 'The assumption that there is an automatic deduction of points has never been tested before but we will do our best to avoid a deduction.
