Trio give Coyle cause for optimism

Rookies Jack Wilshere, Chung-Yong Lee and Stuart Holden are showing the kind of dynamism and invention in the middle of the park that should serve the Trotters well. The trio were impressive in Saturday's crucial Premier League victory against Wolves at the Reebok Stadium - Zat Knight scoring the winner with his first goal since arriving from Aston Villa. It came about after 21-year-old Lee chased a lost cause in first-half stoppage time and set up the defender.Meanwhile Wilshere, 19, on loan from Arsenal, worked tirelessly while Holden troubled Wolves with his delivery from set pieces. At 24, it was the Aberdeen-born player's league debut after he decided to quit Houston Dynamo and try his luck again in England following an unsuccessful spell at Sunderland.Former Burnley boss Coyle is convinced Gunners' teenager Wilshere has a bright future."For the country as a whole, that is the type you want, English players who have composure on the ball," said the Bolton boss."He covered every blade of grass as well. Of course he has stuff to learn. That is why he is not a first- team regular at Arsenal. But that is not a disgrace."We will give Jack a platform as we believe in him and he will continue to do better."Coyle believes Lee, who arrived from FC Seoul in the summer, could secure a place in the World Cup with South Korea. He said: "Lee is such an exciting talent and has played a year without a break."That is big ask and he had lost a little bit of sharpness. That's why I rested him in the cup game at Tottenham in midweek."Lee is evolving, however, and recovered well. He is a level-headed young man, who is working hard. He is coming on a treat and could be a big star."Coyle also praised Holden for his "hunger and desire" to prove himself in England.Like Lee, Holden is now aiming to improve his international credentials with South Africa looming on the horizon. He is in the United States squad to face Holland in a friendly in Amsterdam on Wednesday. Before leaving to join up with his international team-mates he posted his thoughts on his league debut on social networking site Facebook."What an experience today, " he wrote. "Loved every second of it and looking forward to the next match. Thanks for great support, huge win for us."The one bonus for Wolves manager Mick McCarthy was the return of Andy Keogh following his quick recovery from an ankle injury.Keogh will improve their attacking options - while both David Jones and Kevin Foley saw shots come back off the woodwork.McCarthy said: "It is good to have Andy back. He has not had any football really but is one of the fittest guys in the club. It has given everyone a lift." Barclays Premier League Relegation 2009/2010. Click here to bet.
