David Moyes thinks gritty Everton have coped with Joleon Lescott's departure

Everton boss David Moyes believes his club are finally getting over Joleon Lescott's acrimonious move to Manchester City. The £22million transfer last August which contributed to Everton's poor start to the season has made them stronger, he says. Basically, they have got their grit back. Gritty: David Moyes is pleased with his Everton team 'I felt sorry for myself after 10 weeks of the season,' said Moyes, whose side are at Tottenham today. 'I was battered, had no players, was playing people out of position and having to use a lot of young kids in European games. 'But I think that has made us a bit tougher again, and we say bring it on now, because this squad would have a good chance against anybody.'  Damaged Everton admit they have a mountain to climb to seize fourth spotMARTIN SAMUEL: Left back at home, Wayne Bridge let nobody down EVERTON FC
