Could Ronaldo Be On His Way Back To United?

Cristiano Ronaldo is a name synonymous with football, of that there can be no doubt. His talent and his abilities on the ball are in some circles, legendary. His time at Manchester United and at Real Madrid is the stuff that dreams are made of and the successes he has had over the years are too numerous to mention. So, when he moved to Real Madrid in 2009 for 80 million pounds, his fans across the world assumed that this would be his final club, his chance to make the big time in football, to secure his place in footballing history. Only a World Cup success seemed to elude him. But now, it appears as if the rumour mill has started about him returning to Manchester United. And if true and he is considering one day donning the red shirt of United once again, this bodes well for the English game in every conceivable way. Being coy is not a strong point in his armour for he is one confident young man but when he was asked recently about the prospects of such a move, he is reported by MUTV as saying “I love Manchester and you never know in football.” Could this be the first in a line of comments that sees him back at Old Trafford? Are the management at United seeking to secure his services once again to secure league and cup success? Or could another very wealthy club see this opportunity and grab him from Madrid? He happily says that Real Madrid is his home and that he is happy there, but to use words like “you never know” does suggest an inkling of an idea in the back of his mind. If he does return to the UK, will he now fit into the ever changing make up of the United midfield and strike force? He is obviously a world class talent still, but with the way that the new Manchester United manager tends to ask his teams to play, could this be a waste of money and time? Would he fit into the right kind of position in the middle of the park? Or would he be the purchase that tops all seen so far but bring little in the realms of change and strength? One thing will remain to be seen; if he has the desire to return to the north of England. And if this ever happens, it is likely to involve some very heavy investment, so it is likely he may not come in this footballing next season, but the next one, should Manchester United secure Champions League football for the 2015-16 season. So watch out Premier League, Ronaldo has his sights set somewhere. https://uk.eurosport.yahoo.com/news/football-ronaldo-coy-united-return-171518878--sow.html
