World Cup 2010: Fabio Capello calls up Stephen Warnock and Leighton Baines at left-back

With Ashley Cole injured and Wayne Bridge refusing to play, Capello urgently needs a new left-back. Baines, an attacking full-back, has been in fine form for Everton and has already been in two of Capello's squads without being used.Warnock, who is better defensively, has been capped once, replacing Bridge in the 2008 friendly with Trinidad and Tobago. Warnock's Aston Villa club-mate, James Milner, who can also play left-back, will be in the squad named this weekend but Capello sees him in a more attacking role. Related ArticlesHenry Winter: Wayne Bridge's exit is good news for EnglandFerguson: Ferdinand can join up with EnglandSun City an unwelcome lureBridge decision a relief for CapelloTimeline: Capello's unhappy new yearSport on televisionTheo Walcott is also set to start with Joe Hart expected to be given his opportunity to impress Capello who has closely tracked his progress this season. The Italian has yet to decide whether to start with Hart or the recalled, fit-again, David James but is likely to use the Birmingham City goalkeeper at some stage.Hart along with Manchester United's Ben Foster whose star has waned was marked out by Capello as a potential inclusion for the World Cup squad soon after the England manager took over although he has so far made only one appearance.Walcott's inclusion is expected because of his return to form at Arsenal after an indifferent period following his recovery from injury and because Aaron Lennon remains unfit.
