Houston wary of revitalised Bairns

United romped to a 4-1 victory over Falkirk when the teams met last month, however plenty has changed since then.United had their match against Aberdeen closely monitored last weekend and reports they received suggest new boss Steven Pressley will adopt a more robust counter-attacking style. It worked against the Dons as they recorded an impressive 3-1 victory so it is unlikely they will change when heading to Tannadice. The Bairns have been known for their free-flowing style in recent seasons but with relegation a strong possibility Pressley will try to shore things up and Houston knows it may be up to United to grind them down.Houston said: "This game will be nothing like the match against Falkirk last month so you can't look into that at all."We played very well on the day and at the same time they were on a bit of a downer."Steven Pressley has come in and got his first win last weekend over Aberdeen."Their style will change a wee bit. I expect them to sit behind the ball a bit more and look for the counter-attacks."They did that to great effect last weekend against Aberdeen so I wouldn't expect too much different this time."From our perspective, we've got to pick up our home form and make sure we start properly."Our away form has been very good and I think that's because when we go away from home teams have a go at us."But we've noticed teams sitting in a bit more at Tannadice this season and looking for the counter-attack."That's what I expect Falkirk will do this weekend and we need to be more wise to it than we have been on certain occasions."We've lost the first goal a few times at Tannadice recently and after that it has meant we've not really got to grips with the games as we normally do."So solid defending and getting the first goal is the key. I've stressed that to the players and everyone knows what's required."United were boosted by call-ups for Paul Dixon, Andy Webster and Garry Kenneth for Scotland's match against the Czech Republic next week.Houston, who will assist manager Craig Levein in preparing the national team for the Hampden clash, has seen his camp given a lift by the recognition and believes it can rub off on the park.He said: "The place has got a great lift from the Scotland squad being announced."We have three players involved and they will all be desperate to show what they can do."But it's not just about those three, we have a team of players capable of producing performances to a high level and I'm looking for everyone to be at their best."Dixon is expected to return after an ankle injury but the game comes too soon for Fran Sandaza, Danny Cadamarteri and Scott Robertson.
