Liverpool FC fans letters: Supporters should not be blamed for flat Europa League atmosphere

HANG on a minute - why is it us fans who are copping all the flak for that woeful performance against Unirea last week?It was all, 'the atmosphere was flat, nobody wanted to be there, etc.'For the record we did want to be there and we are well up for the Europa League - as long as Liverpool are as well.The fact is, they gave us very little to cheer about with yet more painful attempts to break down an opposition defence coming to nothing.If we'd smashed five past them like we should have done, then the ground would have been bouncing.So stop blaming the competition - it's the team that's at fault here.Vast improvement tomorrow please.Ian Sheffield, Halewood
