Barcelona have officially reached an agreement with Borussia Monchengladbach over the transfer of goalkeeper Marce-Andre Ter Stegen for a reported fee of €12million, Goal.com confirms. The Catalans have officially reached an agreement over a summer move for the goalkeeper but will only confirm the move once current keeper, Victor Valdes, reveals his next destination. The Spanish club has been searching for a replacement after Valdes announced his departure from the club at the end of this season. The Germany international will sign a contract extending to 2019 with the La Liga champions. The Catalans sporting director, Andoni Zubizarreta, has travelled to Germany multiple of times in the past few months to see Ter Stegen live in action and the 21-year-old has done enough to convince Zubizarreta that he's the right man for Barca. The German goalkeeper recently announced that he would not sign a contract extension to his current deal until 2015, prompting Monchengladbach to cash in on him this summer. Barcelona will announce Ter Stegen’s deal either once Valdes reveals his next destination or when La Liga is mathematically decided. The German international is a product of the Borussia Mochengladbach academy and has managed more than 100 official appearances for the club since his first-team debut in the 2010-11 season.
