Southend 1-1 Hartlepool: Match Report - view commentary, squad, and statistics of the game as it happened.Walker stunner earns Pools pointBradley Walker's second-half volley secured Hartlepool a 1-1 draw at play-off rivals Southend.The Shrimpers went ahead just before the break when Barry Corr firing in from close range.But Pools levelled in the 59th minute, with Walker on target with a well-struck volley.Southend, who have now not won for six games, almost went in front when Anthony Straker headed a right-wing cross from John White against the underside of the crossbar.However, they took the lead in the 43rd minute when Corr impressively converted a low left-wing cross from Kevan Hurst with a near flick.Straker had a well-struck shot well saved by Scott Flinders at the start of the second half before Hartlepool equalised with Walker collecting a loose attempted clearance from Michael Timlin and netted with a volley from 20 yards.Southend pushed hard after being pegged back and almost went back in front when Hurst had a shot blocked on the line by full-back Darren Holden.
