Massive Manchester United Summer Clear Out Planned By Moyes

With David Moyes looking to assert himself in his role as Manchester United boss for years to come, this summer will see up to and possibly even more than ten current players facing the axe. All of these players were recruited by Alex Ferguson and are not in the current under-fire managers’ plans. Some of these players may even leave before the summer with Portuguese winger Nani expected to sign for Inter Milan in the coming days. Nani has only started five games all season under Moyes and has been a huge disappointment ever since he arrived at Old Trafford back in 2007 for €25.5 million. United will be very lucky if they can recoup half of his initial fee from Inter. As well as Nani’s imminent departure, it is strongly expected that goalkeeper Anders Lindegaard, defenders Rio Ferdinand, Nemanja Vidic, Patrice Evra, Alex Buttner, midfielders Anderson (who is already on a six month loan deal at Fiorentina), Tom Cleverley, Shinji Kagawa, Antonio Valencia and striker Javier Hernandez will all be shown the door by Moyes. There is probably even more than this, but these players are all but guaranteed to be elsewhere come next season. If United fail to qualify for the Champions League next season some of their star players like Van Persie and Januzaj may also look elsewhere in order to play in the world’s greatest club tournament. The future of Man United looks like it is going to be built around Mata, Rooney, Van Persie and Januzaj but finishing outside the top four would be a huge blow to retaining all four of these star players for next season. Maybe Moyes will join the mass exodus if United continue to be so underwhelming. People fail to realize that a 2-0 home victory against the bottom club is nothing to write home about.
