Wiseman Makes Gibraltar History

Defender makes debut in first ever game. Scott Wiseman helped make footballing history last night after Gibraltar secured a 0-0 draw against Slovakia in their first ever UEFA recognised match. The 28 year old played the full 90 minutes in the 30,000 capacity Estadio Algarve, a stadium that holds more than the entire population of Gibraltar, and only a few hundred were there to see the 54th European nation make their international bow. Meanwhile striker Marcus Pedersen missed a number of gilt-edged chances to net his second international goal in as many games as Norway fell to a 1-0 home defeat to Scotland. Source: TykesMAD
