Robins get the better of Carlisle

Only a Charlie Austin goal separated the teams at half-time in a match which saw both sides play a good passing game.Swindon had the better of the early exchanges but it was not until the 31st minute that they took the lead through Austin, who latched onto a through ball, picked his spot and fired past Adam Collin for his 14th goal in 15 starts. The hosts had several chances. Jonathan Douglas had a good opening in the 13th minute but his shot was parried by Collin from point-blank range. Jon-Paul McGovern then saw his effort tipped over and Danny Ward sent a shot just wide.Carlisle also had their moments, notably in the 17th minute when Ian Harte's free-kick forced a brilliant save from home keeper David Lucas. On the stroke of half-time, Joe Anyinsah was denied after Lucas stretched to block his goalbound effort with his legs.Swindon increased their lead in the 52nd minute when Billy Paynter flicked on Alan Sheehan's driven free-kick to beat Collin. The Robins peppered the visitors' goal for most of the second half but failed to add to their two goals.
