Motherwell begin cup campaign away to Albion Rovers

The draw for the fourth round of the William Hill Scottish Cup handed Motherwell a trip to Coatbridge - Albion Rovers  It's been a long while since we had a meaningful match against our wee Lanarkshire rivals.  Soccerbase reveals that we last met them in the Cup in 1933/34 when we had a 6-0 home win.  More recently there was a League Cup clash in 1987, Alex Ferguson assisted in the proceedings and managed to mention Hewitt's quick goal against us when Aberdeen knocked us out the cup at Fir Park.
