Away WIn Lifts City To 18th

League One Round Up Coventry City's 1-0 victory at Stevenage has lifted the Sky Blues to eighteenth place in the League One table. Leon Clarke's 32nd minute goal from a Shroot error gave City a win which saw them move up from 23rd place in the table, a position they had fallen to following former Sky Blue Marlon King scoring for Sheffield United in a 1-1 draw against Crawley Town. City, who would be seventh had the Football League not deducted ten points, moved after Crewe were beaten 4-0 at Notts County who go 19th, Bristol City drew 1-1 at Port Vale and bottom side Tranmere Rovers lost 1-0 at Swindon Town. At the other end of the table, Leyton Orient who take on City in a JPT 2nd Round game on Tuesday night at Brisbane Road drew 1-1 at Oldham Athletic. The O's lead the table by a point from Peterborough United who beat Preston North End 2-0. Wolves stay third after a 3-0 win at Colchester United with Bradford City fourth after a 2-0 win at Walsall. Preston are fifth with Rotherham who won 1-0 at Brentford in sixth. Other results saw Gillingham beat MK Dons 3-2 and Shrewsbury Town draw 2-2 with Carlisle United.   Source: Coventry MAD
