Chesterfield are clear at the top of the table and have added two new signings to their squad in recent days Manager Paul Cook has dipped into the non-league game to add midfielder Ollie Banks from FC United of Manchester, handing the 20-year-old a two-year contract. That move comes shortly after the Spireites signed Gary McSheffrey on a short-term deal after he ended his long association with Coventry City. McSheffrey, who was re-signed for the Sky Blues by current Northampton manager Aidy Boothroyd, came on as a substitute in Saturday's win against AFC Wimbledon which stretched Chesterfield's lead at the top to four points. They face the Cobblers on Tuesday 26 November.
