Palace starlet explans Wolves snub

Palace's administrators accepted a bid for the 18-year-old right-back, but instead of following fellow Eagles youth stars Victor Moses and John Bostock to the top flight, Clyne opted to continue playing first-team football in south London."I decided to stay at Crystal Palace. No-one else, it was just me. I am old enough now to make my own decisions and my family just told me to do what I wanted to do," he said."It is my career and I have to do what I want, that way you cannot blame someone if it doesn't work out."I know the only way I am going to become a top player is to be playing games week in, week out."I could have gone to Wolves and there would have been added benefits for me doing that but I didn't think I would play and at my age I can't be sitting on the bench all of the time, I need to be playing."
