Alex goalkeeper keen to coach

The 31-year-old has been taking weekly coaching sessions since joining Alex for the remainder of the season in November. The former Bristol Rovers stopper has played over 500 games in his career and believes his experience could be crucial to the development of the League Two club's younger talent."I coach the goalkeepers at the community centre on a Monday night and things are going really well down there," Phillips told BBC Radio Stoke. "I'm 32 in May and I'll keep playing as long as I can, but you do need something to fall back on."Hopefully with my experience, come that day, it will be enough to help some other young kids come through. It might not be that I coach here at all, it's their philosophy whether they have a goalkeeping coach or not, but that's years and years down the line hopefully."
