Morecambe friendly off

Saints' pre-season preparations have been dealt a blow after their trip to English side Morecambe was cancelled. The Buddies had been due to visit the League Two outfit on July 24, however Morecambe have decided they would rather play Wigan that day instead. While it'll probably get them a bigger crowd, pulling out of a game just because you've got a better offer isn't a particularly nice thing to do. Saints are likely to try to arrange another friendly for the same area as the club have already booked a hotel and a bus, while many fans have already sorted their travel plans.
