League Cup draw

Latics at home to Championship side The Latics will take on Derby County at home in the first round of the League Cup. It's a good draw for Athletic as Derby finished last season in 10th place in the Championship. The match will take place during the week commencing Monday 5th August. Other notable draws in the first round include Bury v Crewe; Middlesbrough v Accrington; Doncaster v Rochdale; Preston v Blackpool; Barnsley v Scunthorpe; Huddersfield v Bradford and Rotherham v Sheffield Wednesday.
