Cherries: Jalal staying quiet over row
GOALKEEPER Shwan Jalal was keen to play down his very public outburst which followed Cherries' defeat at Dagenham & Redbridge on Saturday. Jalal, who had performed heroics to keep Cherries in contention, was visibly fuming as he left the pitch alongside assistant boss Jason Tindall. He angrily pointed his finger in the direction of Tindall and appeared to be verbally venting his fury as the pair headed for the tunnel following the final whistle. It is not known whether Tindall was the subject of Jalal's ire and the goalkeeper later declined to elaborate on the circumstances for his heated reaction. However, at no stage during the incident did Tindall appear to respond either verbally or by way of a gesture before Jalal stormed off towards the changing room. He briefly returned the compliment to the travelling Cherries supporters whom had applauded him as he walked off the pitch before disappearing down the tunnel. During the second half of Cherries' 1-0 defeat, Jalal had appeared to exchange words with team-mates Danny Hollands and Brett Pitman in separate on-field incidents. Asked by BBC Radio Solent's Paul Scott for the reasons behind his outburst, Jalal replied courteously: I'm not going to go into that. Things that go on in the changing room, stay in the changing room. I'm not going to say anything, I'll just keep it to that. Jalal made a string of fine saves during Cherries' 1-0 defeat at Victoria Road and was only beaten by Mark Arber's 39th-minute penalty.
