Milijas makes McCarthy plea

The Serbian has found himself third in the pecking order behind Michael Mancienne and Dave Jones in the last three games following a 4-5-1 formation switch. But the 26-year-old has made a plea to the Wolves boss, saying he can play in a number of positions to help the team."I'm happy to play anywhere to be honest, wherever the gaffer wants me to," he told the Birmingham Mail."I've already played some games as an attacking midfielder linking with the forwards and others in a more defensive midfield position."I like to think I can play different roles for the team and wherever I am asked to play I just do my best in the hope the manager and coaching staff will be pleased with me."The playmaker is also keen to play more club football in a bid to strengthen his World Cup selection for Serbia."It will be my first World Cup and it will be great to be involved," he said."I will be so happy if I am selected and can get there, it will be incredible. All players want to represent their country at a World Cup finals and some big players at big clubs never get the chance."If that opportunity comes along once in my life I will be extremely grateful."
