A Look At The Weekend Action

Absolute battering but massive point leaves just goal difference in it…… ………….After going 39 league games without a goal-less draw, The Reds have now had two in their last four matches. Today was however the fourth time in last five games that Barnsley have gone in for the break sporting a 0-0 score-line. It is a second successive blank between the two sides at the City Ground. Forest have now gone three games without a goal for the first time in 15 months and have not won any of their last six matches. Barnsley have drawn four of their last five matches and have won just one of the last seven. The result at the City Ground was the only goal-less game in the Championship today. After scoring in 17 successive league matches, Barnsley have followed that by failing to score in three of the five matches since the streak ended.   Barnsley Team: Luke Steele Scott Wiseman Martin Cranie (YC) Tom Kennedy Jim O’Brien David Perkins Andrai Jones (YC) Jacob Mellis Chris O’Grady Reuben Noble-Lazarus Jason Scotland Substitutes: Chris Dagnall (for Scotland 56 Tomasz Cywka (for Noble-Lazarus 67) Marlon Harewood (for O’Brien 77) Unused Substitutes:  Ben Alnwick, Rob Edwards, Dennis Knight, Danny Rose.   Match Reports: Official Website BBC Sky Sports Npower Championship results Saturday 20th April 2013:   Huddersfield 3-0 Millwall Burnley 1-1 Cardiff – Cardiff are champions.
