Olsson settled after shaky start

The 21-year-old admits it was his family that persuaded him to stay and fight to get back to his best.It was Olsson who made sure of a crucial three points against Hull when his deflected shot from the by-line hit Boaz Myhill before creeping into the net on just 16 minutes of play on Wednesday.Although it was officially an own-goal, Olsson will claim his mark on the shot which has steered Rovers eight points clear of the bottom three.Olsson admits that he struggled for a long spell to find his feet at Ewood Park - but insists he is now finally starting to enjoy himself on the pitch."For six months I wanted to go back," he said. "I said I wanted to go back (to Sweden). Mentally I did not play my best football for a long time."I phone my family every day. I said I wanted to come home but they told me 'don't do it'."Olsson insists he is now settled with Blackburn and has set himself the target of maintaining his place in Sam Allardyce's starting Xl."I hope I can stay here now of course," he said. "When I am playing my best football, I know I can play in this league."I just want more games to show that though. If I work hard the manager will pick me. It's as simple as that."
