Was the last time Cardiff City won promotion to the top flight April 16th, 1960 Cardiff beat Aston Villa 1 - 0 to earn promotion to the then Division 1. Two seasons later City were relegated and have not been in the top division since. Hopefully the class of 2013 can repeat the efforts ot the the team led by Danny Malloy in 1960.
