Cherries: Lee hopes to complete big achievement

EXPERIENCED campaigner Lee Bradbury admits that promotion this season would rank as one of the finest achievements in his 15 years in professional football. Cherries' veteran utility man has been a dependable performer as Eddie Howe's side have set about achieving honours in League Two this term. And Bradbury, who has played for the likes of Manchester City and Crystal Palace in a career which has seen him command transfer fees approaching £5million, is keen to play a part in something special. Given the circumstances and lack of players, he believes helping Cherries earn a place in League One would be one of the best moments of his career. Bradbury said: Getting promoted with a squad as thin as ours would be a great achievement at any level. It's a hard league to get out of and if we could do it with 15 or so players it would be an amazing achievement. I've never been in a squad as thin as this. It's really tight and, as long as we stick together, I think we've got more than enough to be at the right end of the table. If we got promoted or into the play-offs with a squad ranging from 13 to 17 players at times at best, that would be a massive achievement. Signed by Kevin Bond in August 2007, the 34-year-old will be at Dean Court again next season after triggering a clause in his contract by making his 30th appearance of the season in the win over Crewe on January 30.
