Dispute: Hutton
Tottenham and Scotland full-back Alan Hutton faces a£750,000 claim from a former agent who alleges he was frozen out of the player's£9million move to White Hart Lane last January.
JL Sports Management's John Lonergan has demanded the cash from the former Rangers man after claiming that he lost a slice of the fee when he moved to the Premier League, according to reports in the Daily Record.
Lonergan claims he was sidelined during the deal as a second agent Robert Segal was employed to oversee the transfer.
The court action will not be resolved quickly and Hutton's legal representatives have already requested a two-month extension to prepare their case.
Hutton, who is currently sidelined with a foot injury made over 100 appearances for Rangers over a five-year period.
Hutton's lawyer Chris Farnell said: 'We can confirm that the claim is being disputed in its entirety by my client.'
