City Old Boy News Gordon Strachan’s first World Cup Qualifying game as manager of Scotland ended in defeat as Scotland were beaten 2-1 by Chris Coleman’s Wales 1-1 in their World Cup Qualifying game at Hampden Park.  Former Sky Blue loanee Gary Caldwell played for Scotland and Craig Bellamy played for Wales who equalised through a 73rd minute Arron Ramsey penalty after Grant Hanley had given Scotland a first half stoppage time. Robson Kanu then gave Wales the win a minute later before Ramsey was sent off.   _________________________________________  Northern Ireland’s 2014 World Cup Qualifying game was postponed. There were three pitch inspections in Belfast but the snow meant the game for Michael O’Neill’s side against Russia was postponed.  It is hoped that the game will be played tomorrow at 3pm. ____________________________________________  Former Coventry City midfielder Aron Gunnarsson captained Iceland to a 2-1 win in Slovenia. __________________________________________  Robbie Keane played for the Republic Of Ireland in a 0-0 draw in Sweden. _________________________________________  Michael Mifsud captained Malta but they lost 6-0 away to Bulgaria. _______________________________________  Former City youngster Danny Sturridge scored for England in a 8-0 win in San Marino. ___________________________________  Former Coventry City youngster Robert Ogleby played for Wales U21 and had a goal disallowed in a 1-0 win over Moldova at Llanelli.
