Emergency loan: Preston boss Darren FergusonManchester United youngster Matty James will join Preston North End until the end of the season when the emergency loan window opens on Tuesday.The England Under-20 midfielder becomes the second United player to utilise the family connection between the two clubs, following Danny Welbeck's loan to Deepdale last month.Preston boss Darren Ferguson is the son of Reds boss Sir Alex and will be keen for parental guidance as he aims to turn North Ends' season around. Ferguson Jnr said: '[Matty] is a good passer, he's got plenty of energy, he's a good size for a young lad, he'll come into it on Tuesday and we are looking forward to working with him. 'It's an area which I said we have needed to strengthen, so I am pleased to get him on board, he's a good one for us.'The 18-year-old has limited first team experience but was included on the bench for United's Champions League clash with Wolfsburg in December.Welbeck moved to Deepdale with already 24 first-team appearances under his belt, but having featured in the same youth teams as James.
