Ex Hibs winger Danny Galbraith joins Limerick

Danny off to Ireland Former Hibs winger Danny Galbraith has today signed for Irish side Limerick. The 22-year-old has signed a two-year-deal with the newly promoted premier division side. In a twist of fate, Limerick are about to embark on a pre-season trip of Scotland, and Galbraith will quickly be back at the Hibees East Mains training facility, as they face the Hibs in a friendly, as well as Dundee Utd while in Scotland. Galbraith, speaking to the official Limerick website said: “I’ve heard about the passion of the supporters here and I’m looking forward to playing in front of them at Thomond Park, which will give everyone around the club a great lift.” Galbraith joined the Hibees in 2009 following his release from Manchester United. He signed for United from Hearts as a 16-year-old in a then reported £50,000 deal, but failed to make the grade at Old Trafford. Danny played over 50 games for the Hibees and scored 1 goal. The goal coming with just minutes to go against Celtic at Parkhead, as the Hibees ran out 2-1 winners in January 2010. He has been capped by Scotland at U16 level. Good luck to Danny at his new club.
