Goetze nets hat trick as Dortmand progress in German Cup

Holders Borussia Dortmund thanked a hat trick from Mario Goetze as they thrashed Hanover 5-1 on Wednesday to reach the quarter-finals of the German Cup."I'm taking the ball home," beamed Goetze after the first hattrick of his professional career, cementing his showing with a fine volley for his third goal.Polish star Jakub Blaszczykowski and compatriot Robert Lewandowski were also on target with Mame Diouf adding a consolation for outclassed Hanover.Wolfsburg meanwhile set aside their poor league form to beat Bayer Leverkusen, currently second in the Bundesliga, 2-1 with Dutchman Bas Dost hitting a last-minute winner.Bochum beat Munich 1860 3-0 in a battle of second tier sides and Stuttgart edged out Cologne 2-1.`Bayern Munich won 2-0 at Augsburg on Tuesday.The quarter-finals will be played on February 6 and 7.
